Thanks to its location in the hollow of one of the most beautiful gulfs in the Mediterranean, which has inspired many poets and writers, this ancient Roman city has today become a popular seaside resort, without having lost any of its authenticity. You will discover ancient buildings such as the 12th century Cathedral or the 15th century Citadel which seems to crown the village, but you will also enjoy strolling along the quays and enjoying the permanent animation of the marina, located at the heart of the village.

Only half an hour from the Commercial Port and Bastia International Airport, Saint-Florent enjoys a privileged location. Its western configuration also allows it to benefit from the Agriate and its exceptional fine sandy beaches, surrounded by fragrant maquis.

When you arrive, the Place des Portes or Place des Ormeaux welcomes you, offering the spectacle to bowling enthusiasts.

Stroll along the quays of the port of Saint-Florent passing through the alleys of the old quarter which will lead you to the parish church of Ste Anne from the 17th century, open to the public, and to the “Piazza Posta”, the place of the he old post office as the Saint-Florentins like to call it, or also called Place Doria and which delights children thanks to its “frog” fountain and its coolness in summer. From there you have direct access to the remarkable 15th century Citadel, which offers you from its esplanade a remarkable view of the Gulf, the Agriate Desert opposite and the “Marinuccia”, a small marina typical of this former fishing village that was Saint – Florent.
